The Long Beach State track & field team kicks off the 2014 indoor season this weekend at the Mountain T's Invitational in Flagstaff, Ariz. The 49ers will send 44 athletes to compete at the two-day meet from Feb. 7-8.

Long Beach State track & field will host the first session of its first annual Rock `N Roll Throws Fest on Saturday, Feb. 1.

The Long Beach State cross country/track & field program will hold its annual banquet at The Grand on Saturday, Jan. 18.

Long Beach State head track & field coach Andy Sythe has added a new member to his staff with the hiring of former 49er All-American Greg Magee. Magee will work primarily with the long jump and triple jump.
