Sophomore pole vaulter Conner Rouse (Vista, Calif.) has been named the Big West Men's Field Athlete of the Week the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.

The Long Beach State men's track & field team was ranked eighth, while the women came in at No. 16 in the latest USTFCCCA West Region rankings released on Tuesday.

Sophomore pole vaulter Conner Rouse highlighted the second and final day of the Triton Invitational for the Long Beach State track & field team on Saturday.

Long Beach State posted three top-15 finishes on its first day at the prestigious Drake Relays. The 49ers also established four lifetime bests in the women's throws Friday at the Triton Invitational.

The Long Beach State track & field team is back on the road this week as it sends a split squad to the Drake Relays and the Triton Invitational, April 25-26.
