Track and Field lost a tremendous leader last Friday with the death of Dave Rodda, who passed away following a heart attack. A pioneer for women's track and field, Rodda's passion for the sport was nearly unmatched.

The 49ers snagged 11 first-place performances in the meet including the women's 4x400m relay, which ranks tenth overall in program history. Chris Low also wrapped up his performance at the Stanford Invite with a second place performance.

The Long Beach State track & field team will make the trek south to La Jolla for the California Collegiate Invitational on Saturday, April 4. LBSU will also have one athlete competing at the Stanford Invitational this weekend.
